Civilization has always required equity. Mutually enhancing relationships develop,
with participants balancing and thereby benefiting from varied interests.
For the civil information society, dotindividual promotes equitable information rights
for people and organizations, so all may prosper in an increasingly interdependent
world.
Information equity rests on a straightforward principle, a basic human and civil right
made explicit: information about me is my property
. The principle serves as the
foundation of the iDNA Manifesto
.
In the civilized information society, especially organizations in both the private
and the public sector need to be able to demonstrate in practice how they
contribute to information equity.
